THE REASON WHY WE'RE ON THIS TRIP

Last night cousin Seth, the Diesel, got married to his beautiful bride Michelle.

After meeting 5 years ago in Paris where they were both working the French Open, it was fitting they got married the opening weekend of this year's French Open in a beautiful ceremony at Calamigos Ranch , which happens to also be the site of The Biggest Loser. Awesome venue.

Seth & Michelle are both super talented professionals and super people. You can tell a lot about a person by who they surround themselves with and it was so awesome to spend the weekend not only with our family, but also with cousin Craig, Brenden and Seth's boyz from Rhode Island and Michelle's friends and family. Good peeps!

So a big congratulations and thank you to the newlyweds for being the catalyst for us to take this amazing adventure.

Before arriving in Cali, we got to spend time with Angie and Reg at their Vegas McMansion and meet cute little baby Cameron (Cam). Love the Rosemans!

And since we got to Cali last Wednesday, we got to see Hollywood Mike who also recently got married and is Elephant Driving in Venice. We hung and stayed with the one and only Dan Dan Rogers and her pups Rocco and Hank (although we were sad to have missed Jared). And we had the privilege of
spending some time with Mr. Mike Myerburg (originally of the 305) before he jetted off to Cannes, Holland and then Manhattan. Yeah, he's big time...

And, of course, its always special to spend time with the immediate family - pretty Momma and Big Poppa, Eric, Sami, Jordan, Dylan & Maya.

Off to San Diego in a lil bit to hang with Big Ben and Eva and help the Heat win Game 1.

Wildcats

Could this be the school for Ri?

Daddy wouldn't mind.

We'll keep it on here just in case.

WOOPS

Somewhere along the old historic Route 66 (now I-40, which is basically the only road we roll on), a big blue 18-wheeler was beepin and honkin at us. I thought we were just in violation of some road protocol, but Amanda said pull over. We did and this is what we found. I've since tightened up the screws.

Anyway, Amanda needs a new bike :(

While we were on the road, I said to Amanda that I wasn't sure if there will be much to see or do in Sante Fe. I was WRONG. What an amazing place loaded with art and Native American culture. Just a genuine mix of American history with new age urban living in a gorgeous setting with mountains, desert, dry heat, cool nights and inspiring people.

Here's a video of my man playing the violin at our RV park on the first morning we arrived in Sante Fe. Linko loved it.

It was definitely worth the long drive the day before to get to spend 2 days in Sante Fe and we took full advantage of it. As nature would have it, we were able to witness a solar eclipse! When the moon passes b/w the sun and the earth (I looked that up) it results in a blinding light that when viewed with special 3D-type glasses looks like this:

Everyone was outside sharing the glasses and admiring this natural phenomenon including us. It was incredible!

The next morning, Amanda found us the equivalent of the JCC in Sante Fe called the GCCC. Despite having to be on prednizone for some annoying pain she's experiencing, Amanda braved a Zumba class, Riley played in the indoor water park, Lincoln swam for the first time and I got to swim some laps. Fun stuff!

Later that day, we got back in the house car headed to Flagstaff, AZ, where we are now.

Using technology as our friend, we were so lucky to first find the La Posada Hotel where we stopped for dinner last night. This place is legit. Our dinner in The Turquoise Room was authentic Native American cuisine and the lobby doubled as an art gallery and music venue. Really, really cool place. Thanks Yelp.

We're getting back on the road in a little bit headed to Sin City - Las Vegas, NV.

Hoping to see Grandpa Bob who is there for the real estate convention and will definitely be on Reg's couch for Game 5. Lets go Heat!

Game 4

Let's go! Enough.

New Mexico - the Land of Enchantment

We drove yesterday. 675 miles.

From Greenleaf State Park in Oklahoma to Sante Fe, New Mexico

We've spanned 8 states (Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas & New Mexico), crossed two time zones (in Tennessee & New Mexico) and slept in 5 different RV parks in 5 nights.

We're going to stay here in Sante Fe again tonight although we'll probably move the house car to a State Park making it 6 parks in 6 nights, but staying in the same place for two nights is a huge relief.

We're looking forward to visiting with Amanda's cousin, Bruce, who lives out here with his two sisters although unfortunately they are out of town. So, in a little while, we'll unplug and head downtown to have a look making sure Daddy is in front of ABC to watch the Heat game at 1.30 (MST).

Thanks for following us. This has been an amazing adventure so far and the boyz have been absolutely perfect.

Here are some pics :)

Arkansas - Thanks for the hospitality.

Hot Springs, you're worth another visit. Your bath houses are unparalleled and your hot natural spring water will last us awhile, but not as long as the people who were filling up multiple 5-gallon jugs of the stuff.

Ozark, we learned that Paris and Nicole worked at your Sonic drive-thru for their TV show, The Simple Life, but we unfortunately also learned that your Pizza Hut takes 2 hours to experience. Must be the population of 3,000.

On to the next one.

Oklahoma - what it do.

We officially made it through TN :)  Our highlights and most fun memory so far has to be Memphis.  We went to Beale street which I really didn't know much about and it was bumpin!  First we had dinner at a BBQ place and shared the famous ribs which were great.  After dinner we took a stroll down Beale street, there were street performers, people drinking in the street and a vibe you could just feel while being there.  We all loved it.

Currently we are in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  Link is taking a nice morning nap while Bradley and Ri are hanging in the pool at our KOA park we are staying at.  The boys are going to let mommy soak up some of the mineral water at a famous bathhouse and get a spa treatment while they explore town today. Our plan is to head to Santa Fe, NM with a stop or two on the way after that.

So far we are loving the RV life. Its fun to explore all the new parks and we seem to have a great system with everything.  Its heaven for Riley, he loves to take all his little toys and set them up outside the RV while we set up breakfast and Link is happy to be along for the ride (so far).   The car handles great and both of us have been switching off with the driving and resting a long the way.

 Pictures to come...

Good Morning

Good morning from Pigeon Forge, TN. Driving thru last night, this place looks underrated for fun, family and friends.

Sorta a mix between Myrtle Beach, Orlando, Vegas and Ocean City with huge attractions, miniature golf, wonder works, pirate ships, water escapades, billboards, chain restaurants and more.

Off to Dollywood today for Mommy to recapture her childhood.
